There seems to be no end to the number of programmes on tv about things that can and do go wrong in everday lives. Because we have a whole host of daytime tv slots to fill, there is this constant feed of lifestyle programmes. Some deal with searches for the perfect house, be it countryside or seaside, home or abroad. Another deals with the buying of houses at auction and the fascinating state the houses are purchased in and how the new owners manage to turn them around to splendid palaces. There are other programmes that show confrontations when bailiffs or sheriffs are sent in to force payment on a high court judgment following fialure by someone to meet a previous court judgment. There is an element of legal activity at every stage in these programmes but we don’t often see or hear about that part, perhaps that could fill another few hours a week!
